Alpha Omega Phi’s Community Involvement
We are honored to share the incredible journey and community impact of Alpha Omega Phi Military Fraternity and Sorority over the past eight years. While we are, at heart, a fraternity and sorority, our mission goes far beyond the traditional definitions. We are a community-driven organization with a deep-rooted commitment to serving veterans, military personnel, and those in need throughout the United States.
Alpha Omega Phi was created with one purpose: to ensure that veterans, active-duty members, and their families receive the support and recognition they deserve. Whether it’s through educational initiatives, wellness programs, or hands-on community service, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our nation’s heroes.”
Nationwide Community Impact
“As a fraternity and sorority, Alpha Omega Phi is more than a social organization. Our goal is to make a tangible difference in the communities we serve. We have programs operating across the United States, helping thousands of veterans, active-duty service members, and their families each year. Our reach is far and wide, and our impact is felt in local communities as we partner with governmental agencies, nonprofits, and private organizations to address the unique challenges that veterans face.
Let me now take you through some of the key programs we have developed and how they are changing lives every day.”
Disabled Veterans Golf Tournament
“One of the signature events of Alpha Omega Phi is our Disabled Veterans Golf Tournament. This event is not only about enjoying a day out on the golf course; it’s about creating a space for veterans and active-duty members to reconnect, build camaraderie, and enjoy a recreational outlet in a supportive environment.
The tournament is completely free for veterans, active-duty members, and their guests, ensuring accessibility for all who wish to participate. Whether they are experienced golfers or trying it for the first time, participants find this event to be a fantastic way to relax, unwind, and strengthen relationships. Over the years, we’ve hosted numerous tournaments with growing participation, fostering a sense of community among our heroes.”

Educational First Program
“Our Educational First Program was developed to ensure that veterans and military personnel can continue their education and build a future full of opportunities. This program operates in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs, providing mentorship and educational resources to both students and veterans. Through this program, we have been able to support veterans and active-duty military personnel in their pursuit of higher education. We not only provide essential educational supplies but also offer mentorship, connecting veterans with professionals in their fields of interest. This mentorship has proven to be invaluable, offering guidance, advice, and networking opportunities that are often hard to come by for transitioning veterans. In the past few years, this program has touched the lives of countless veterans and military students, giving them the tools they need to succeed academically and professionally.”

Veteran Water Initiative
“Access to clean drinking water is something many of us take for granted, but for low-income and homeless veterans, this can be a significant challenge. That’s why we created the Veterans Water Program, which provides fresh, clean bottled water to these individuals, ensuring they have access to safe and drinkable water for healthy living.
Through this program, we’ve distributed thousands of bottles of water to veterans in need. The simple act of providing water can make a significant difference in maintaining their health and well-being. It’s a small but vital part of our larger mission to care for those who have sacrificed so much for us.”
Veteran Holiday Initiative
“For many veterans and their families, the holiday season can be a difficult time, especially when resources are limited. In response to this, Alpha Omega Phi launched the Veteran Holiday Initiative, which aims to ensure that underprivileged veterans and their families can enjoy a holiday meal together.
In partnership with Kroger, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and Goya, we provide veterans with all the ingredients needed for a sustainable holiday meal. This includes everything from turkeys to rice, beans, water, and juice. Last year, we were able to help hundreds of families celebrate the holiday season with dignity and warmth. The smiles and gratitude we receive from veterans and their families during this program are a reminder of how important it is to give back.”
Financial Impact: $4.5 Million Contributed to Veterans
“Alpha Omega Phi is proud to have contributed nearly $4.5 million back into the community over the last 8 years. These contributions support vital services for veterans, including education, housing, mental health, and wellness programs. Our financial contributions have allowed us to partner with organizations that share our mission and make an even larger impact on the lives of those who served our country.”
